  1. What sets the Atlanta Mosquito Mist-Away System™ apart from other misting systems?
The patent pending Atlanta Mosquito Mist-Away System is 'The Original'. It has a fully automated digital display panel. It is the only system of its kind to incorporate a level sensing float switch, agitator, pressure switch and 3-button remote control.
  2. What does the fully automated digital display panel do?
This cutting edge technology is the brain of the Atlanta Mosquito Mist-Away System. While other control panels have been adapted from other industries, this control panel was designed and built exclusively for the Atlanta Mosquito Mist-Away System.
  3. What does the level sensing float switch do?
The patent pending float switch is the only one of its kind in the industry that utilizes a probe rather than a tethered cord to relay the liquid level to the control panel. The low level probe rather than a tethered cord to relay the liquid level to the control panel. The low level LED liquid indicator will display 7 different levels including 100%, 50%, 25% and empty.
  4. Other companies claim you don't need a float switch, why does your system need one?
Even if the pump claims to have a run/dry capability, for safety reasons you would never want your pump to run in the dry position. This will not only damage pump seals over a period of time, it sill also void the manufacturer's pump warranty.
  5. Why do I want an agitator?
The agitator makes available for the first time ever, the ability to use less expensive, non-emulsified pyrethrum products.
  6. What is the benefit of having a pressure switch?
The patent pending pressure switch is a state of the art safety feature. It monitors the pressure on the system. If the pressure drops below a predetermined setting, due to a break in the line, the system automatically turns off, thus avoiding insecticide waste.
  7. What are the functions of the remote control?
The 3-button remote control enables you to turn the system on and off as well as mist inbetween mist cycles.
  8. How safe is the pyrethrum?
Our recommended pyrethrym insecticides are derived from natural crysanthemum flowers and are considered to be very low in toxicity. However, they are insecticides and should be used according to manufacturer's label.
  9. Is it harmful to pets or children?
Pyrethrum insecticides have been used in agricultural and equine applications for a quarter century with no known harmful effects. Other over-the-counter insecticdes contain petroleum distillates, oils and solvents that can be harmful.
  10. Will the product hurt my plants?
Our recommended pyrethrum insecticides, Hydro-Py300 and MicroCare CS, do not contain petroleum distillates, which cause photo toxicity. This is not true of other pyrethrin products.
  11. Will the pyrethrum stain or leave a sticky film?
No. Hydro Py-300 is completely biodegradable and never leaves a sticky film or residue. MicroCare CS is a micro-encapsulated pyrethrum, which displays the same characteristics as the Hydro Py-300. however tyrethrins, which contain oil, will leave a sticky residue. And synthetic pyrethrins, known as pyrethroids, have a tendency to stain certain surfaces.
  12. How long will it take for the system to work and be effective?
The knockdown effect of unwanted insects begins instantly with the first mist.
  13. What can I expect as far as the insects disappearing?
Upon the first mist you will notice remarkably less annoying insects within your covered area. After a week or two, the results will be even more dramatic. Remember, however, nothing is 100% effective.
  14. Will the nozzles drip or rust?
The patent pending EFA nozzles are the only nozzles that have an instant onn/off capability. The nozzle tips will not rust because they are made from a nickel silver alloy.
  15. What is the cost to maintain the system?
The cost varies depending on the number ofnozzles, the frequency of mist cycles, the duration of each mist and the type of insecticide.
  16. How many times will the system mist?
Two to three times a day for 30-40 seconds should be adequate for most yards.
  17. How often do I have to refill the system?
That varies depending on the number of nozzles, size of the tank, frequency of mist cycles, and duration of mist. Refer to the consumption chart for your particular situation.
  18. Can I turn the system off if I don't want it to mist?
Yes, you can turn the EFA system off with both the remote control and at the control panel.
  19. Why do I need a rain sensor?
This option will help control insecticide waste. Because the products are biodegradable, there is no need to mist during a rainstorm. The rain sensor will turn the system off if rain levels reach the predetermined level.
  20. Why do I need a wind sensor?
The wind sensor will turn the system off when wind conditions are not favoragle for the misting.
  21. Why do I need a freeze sensor?
All systems need to be properly winterized in areas where freezing is common. In other regions of the country where freezing is not common, the freeze sensor will turn the system off when the temperature reaches freezing. This helps to control insecticide waste because insects are not prevalent during freezing conditions. Caution: Do not use the remote control to bypass the freeze sensor, becuase if the liquid is frozen in the drum or lines, damage can result, thus voiding your warranty.
  22. How long does it take for the system to turn back on after it has been automatically turned off by any of the weather sensors?
It varies depending on the weather conditions and locations of sensors. however, the remote control can bypass the sensors and activate a misting cycle.
  23. How do I know when the system is empty?
Your system will not mist when it is empty. Further, the low level LED liquid indicator will display "empty".
  24. How automatic is the Atlanta Mosquito Mist-Away System?
The Atlanta Mosquito Mist-Away System is fully automatic. You simply set the frequency and duration of mist cycles and the system does the rest.
  25. Is the system expandable?
Yes, the Atlanta Mosquito Mist-Away System can be expanded at any time up to 100+ nozzles.
  26. Can I take my system with me if I move?
Yes, the Atlanta Mosquito Mist-Away System can be relocated.
